May 14th Update
To date we have
Mobilized site office, construction equipment and materials
Installed perimeter safety fencing, signage, and safety controls
Disconnected and removed existing services
Commenced interior demolition
Commenced heritage restoration work
Next week (week of May 18, 2026)
Continue with the interior demolition works
Commence Heritage Brick Salvage (exterior)
Removal of Heritage front steps off site
Demolition of ramp at Heritage building
Delivery of a scissor lift
Tentative- Commence main demolition of building with large 340 excavator
Working Hours Remain as
Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 7:00pm (per the City Bylaw) however many days will observe 7:00am to 5:00pm
Saturday work (as required): 9:00am to 7:00pm
No Work on Sunday or Holidays
Health, Safety & Environment
The site will be secured at all times
The gate closed to the Geneva Center will remain closed at all times, except when deliveries are occurring
Dust suppression and noise control measures are being implemented
All work will comply with the local regulation and safety standards
Traffic & Access
Pedestrian routes will be maintained
Traffic control personal and signage will be in place
